2. The basic steps for the selection of high-voltage wiring harness wires for electric vehicles are as follows:

1. Check the working voltage platform of high-voltage wires. At present, the general voltage platform is below 1000V DC, so high-voltage wires that can withstand 1000V DC are mostly used;

2. According to the temperature rise curve combined with the current carrying capacity of the wire and the temperature of the working environment, select the wire diameter of the wire;

3. Comparing the peak current, peak duration and wire smoking curve, the peak duration is less than the wire smoking time;

4. Comparing the fusing time of the fuse and the smoking time of the wire, the smoking time of the wire is greater than the fusing time of the fuse;

5. Preliminarily determine the wire diameter after the above steps, and then combine the model and specification of the high-voltage plug-in to confirm whether the wire can be applied. In particular, the high-voltage plug-in on both sides of the wire needs to be checked to meet its requirements at the same time.
